The Centre for Medicine and Society at the University of Freiburg offers a one-year (60 ECTS), full-time postgraduate program in Global Urban Health taught completely in English. This program unites graduates in social sciences, medicine, urban planning, anthropology, economics, and related fields with at least one year of professional experience. Together they work on the analysis and management of health risks in rapidly urbanizing settings - in low- and middle-income countries alike. Its interdisciplinary teaching combined with real-world field research and modular short courses will equip students in the design, implementation, and evaluation of health interventions in urban settings.
