The aim of the MSc in Life Science Informatics is the integration of advanced informatics and computational techniques into life-science fields like biology, medicine, and pharmacy. Because of the explosion of data from NGS and other high-throughput technologies, there is a need for professionals capable of analysis, interpretation, and integration of such information for uses ranging from personalized medicine to diagnostics and bio-informatics-driven research. The program provides this interface; it imparts the necessary grounding in the life sciences, together with informatics and data science skills required for dealing with complex biological data.

Admission Requirements
A completed Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in life sciences, biomedical sciences, informatics / computer science.
Passing an assessment/test for admission: an aptitude test.
English language proficiency at the level of C1, German A2.
Application period usually 15 April – 15 June for the winter intake.
