The Master of Science in Mathematics in Data and Technology is a four-semester, research-oriented program (2 years), which is mainly taught in English; only a limited number of courses are elective and taught in German. It is offered by the Mathematical Institute of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The course targets bachelor graduates in mathematics, computer science, physics, or engineering with sound mathematical fundamentals in applied mathematics, optimization, numerical methods, and probability theory oriented towards applications in AI, machine learning, simulation, and data science.
