The M.Sc. Medical Sciences – Cardiovascular Research is an English taught, one-year (2-semester) Master course at the Institute for Experimental Cardiovascular Medicine (IEKM), University of Freiburg. This one-year course consists of 2 semesters and is particularly suited for students who would like to proceed to a PhD in cardiovascular research. There is strong theoretical and practical training in the first semester, while the second semester consists of a research project/ Master’s thesis. Due to the very small cohorts of only about 6 students who are admitted each year, highly individualized supervision and intense practical experience can be offered in the program.
